"Night Sky" by Susan Yankowitz
October 13th 2012 7:30pm - 7:30pm at Grove Playmakers
If you struggle to remember names and perhaps even facts from time to time, you will empathize with main character, Anna, in "Night Sky." You may also thank your lucky stars that you don't have her condition. When she is hit by a car, the briliant and articulate astronomer loses her ability to speak, a condition known as aphasia.Watching playwright Susan Yankowitz weave a web which ultimately binds man and the cosmos is a wonderful way to spend an evening. She spins a wonderful story, one which entertainingly engages audiences in a metaphor of the black hole in the aphasic brain and a black hole in the universe.
