Wits Has Been Cancelled

Wits will end its run in September. KOSU is currently evaluating options to replace it in our programming lineup. Below is a note from American Public Media, which distributes Wits:

American Public Media has made the difficult decision to cancel our nationally distributed radio program, Wits. Wits is a wonderful show and we’re very proud of its success. However, in assessing our strategic plans for the future, we’ve decided to focus on different priorities for our portfolio. We will continue to make Wits available to you each week for the next 60 days and will cease distribution after September 21, 2015. At this time, we have suspended the live, regional stage show and are assessing the future of those events as well. I am happy to say that John Moe and the entire Wits team will be staying on to work on developing new digital content projects. We’re very grateful for your early support of the program and fully recognize the disruption this change causes. Your APM station representative will contact you within the next couple of days to discuss the change and work with you on securing alternative programming. Be sure and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you, Shona Koester Director, National Distribution American Public Media
