Watch A New (Unnamed) Video And Song From Angel Olsen

The latest video and song from singer Angel Olsen is an extended tease that just appeared on YouTube without formal notice — or even a name. The slow-burning, glittery synth ballad reflects on the bright light of fame, ambition and the complicated intricacies of self-identity. "Maybe you know that it's been too long," Olsen sings while wearing a tinsel wig. "Going through the motions as you sing your song / It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done / You still gotta wake up and be someone."

The video and song give just enough to leave you wanting more, as it abruptly cuts to color bars about two and a half minutes in. It was directed by Olsen, along with Ashley Connor and Jethro Waters.

This is the first new music from Angel Olsen since her 2014 full-length Burn Your Fire For No Witness. No word yet on when a new album will follow.
