Ten referees and officials involved in Saturday's football game between Oklahoma State University and Central Michigan University have been suspended following the Chippewas 30-27 victory on a desperation heave in the final seconds.
The Mid-American Conference suspended the eight-man officiating crew for two games, and the Big 12 conference says the two-person video replay will also sit out for two weeks.
After referees penalized OSU for intentional grounding with a three-point lead, Central Michigan received one untimed final play from midfield.

The referee admitted afterward an error was made by extending the game after a loss-of-down penalty. Oklahoma State University head football coach Mike Gundy took responsibility for calling the play that led to the intentional grounding penalty, but said he was pleased with his team's reaction to the loss.
"There wasn't a lot of guys complaining and throwing helmets and things like that. Really pretty squared away and pretty mature for the situation that just happened."
In a statement yesterday, OSU athletic director Mike Holder called the mistake "incomprehensible," and tried to see if the outcome could be changed. But the result of the game is final.
