KOSU will air the state gubernatorial debate between Republican incumbent Mary Fallin and Democratic challenger Joe Dorman live on Thursday, October 2 at 7 p.m. from the campus of Oklahoma State University.
The one-hour debate will be held at the OSU Student Union Theater in Stillwater. Both Fallin and Dorman are graduates of Oklahoma State University.
A panel of Oklahoma journalists—KOSU associate director Rachel Hubbard, OETA managing editor Dick Pryor, and The Oklahoman capitol bureau chief Rick Green—will ask the candidates questions, while Dr. Brandon Lenoir, a visiting OSU assistant professor in political science, will moderate the debate.
KOSU will broadcast the debate on 91.7 FM in Oklahoma City and central Oklahoma, 107.5 FM in Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma, and 88.3 FM in Stillwater. It will also stream online at kosu.org.
OETA will air the debate live and stream online at oeta.tv, with viewers encouraged to join the conversation on their social media platforms by using the hashtag #okvotes14. The debate also will be streamed live at www.ostate.tv.
Due to the airing of the debate, The Oklahoma Rock Show will be moved back to 8 p.m. temporarily this week.
