An Interview With David Macias of Thirty Tigers

David Macias is a Grammy Award-winning producer and co-founder of Thirty Tigers. The services of his Nashville-based entertainment company have fostered success stories for the likes of Lucinda Williams, Patty Griffin, The Avett Brothers, Low, Ryan Bingham, Flogging Molly, Jason Isbell, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, and many more.

In this interview with KOSU's John Cooper, Macias talks about the beginning of his company, how its unique model works, and even one of its first releases with The Great Divide, right as the band was breaking up.
 
Macias also talks about Thirty Tigers' work in handling marketing and distribution with Oklahoma musicians such as Parker Millsap, Samantha Crain, John Moreland, John Fullbright, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Turnpike Troubadours, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Wanda Jackson.
