The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture is urging people to be aware of high fire danger until Wednesday.
Fire Staff Forester Drew Daily says low humidity and high winds is going to make for a challenging week if any fires get going.
"Even though green-up has initiated, these successive freeze events that we've had over the past couple of days have really stalled the green-up progress, and there are ample dormant fuels that are available for combustion."
Daily says an extra ounce of vigilance goes a long way to avoiding the spread of wildfires.
"Avoid out door burning to where a fire may escape, and if there is an escaped fire to call it in immediately through the 911 system."
He also says if you are out driving avoid the areas of wildfire and allow room for emergency vehicles to pass.
The National Weather Service has issued Fire Weather Watches throughout the afternoons on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of a cold front later in the week.
