Gay Marriage Ruling This Week in Oklahoma Politics

KOSU's Michael Cross talks with ACLU Oklahoma Executive Director Ryan Kiesel and Republican Poltical Consultant Neva Hill about the ruling from the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals saying state's cannot make laws banning same sex marriage.

They also talk about a recent article in the Journal Record regarding Rep. Don Armes and possible impropriety with two Department of Environmental Quality to reduce funding for the agency and undermine its new leadership.

The primary elections saw Joy Hofmeister defeat State Superintendent Janet Barresi without a runoff.

Democratic candidates Freda Deskin and John Cox will face a runoff on August 26th.

The trio also talk about the race for Senator Tom Coburn's seat and Congressional District Five.
