10. Destroyer - "Tinseltown Swimming in Blood"
Of the list of things I didn't think I needed in my life: Destroyer doing a song that sounds like New Order is high atop that list.

9. Kendrick Lamar feat. Zacari - "LOVE."
For an album that had hits for days, this was my immediate standout. It seems it's picking up traction as the next single from DAMN. and I hope that means we get another stunning visual music video for it next. (Christmas Update: Kendrick just released a stunning visual music video for "LOVE." next!)
8. Slowdive - "No Longer Making Time"
Every album needs a deep cut to cement it as a truly great album. This is one of those deep cuts from the new Slowdive album.
7. Broken Social Scene - "Mouth Guards of the Apocalypse"
I don't have expectations for Broken Social Scene to ever top their self-titled album closer "It's All Gonna Break", but I was shocked that they actually came close with this Hug of Thunder album closer.
6. Migos - "What The Price"
It's tough picking a favorite Migos track, but I have to give credit where it's due when a rap group tackles the American economic system with a catchy song.
5. Priests - "Jj"
One of those rare songs where you can't really just quote a single lyric without quoting the entire song.
4. Ariel Pink - "Another Weekend"
Ariel Pink albums can be hit or miss, but he's always consistently provided at least one perfect song that will last for years to come. This is one of those tracks from Dedicated to Bobby Jameson.
3. The Horrors - "Something To Remember Me By"
Honestly, you could pick any song from The Horrors' fifth album V and I'd be fine with its placement here. But it's tough to deny album closer and early single "Something To Remember Me By" as the album's climax... a theme The Horrors took to its logical conclusion in the music video.
2. LCD Soundsystem - "oh baby"
I never liked "Dance Yrself Clean" as an opening track on LCD Soundsystem's previous album This Is Happening. So to hear James Murphy open the new LCD Soundsystem album with what may now be one of my favorite LCD Soundsystem songs ever was a massive highlight this year. Here's a live video of them in Dallas opening their show with it. I WAS THERE!
1. The War On Drugs - "Thinking of a Place"
Record Store Day has never seen a better song debuted. Ever. This will be The War on Drugs' crowning achievement until their next album. Thankfully it's long enough to keep me satisfied until that day occurs.
