Earth's Body/Women's Bodies

April 5th 2013 6:30pm - 5:00pm at Church of the Open Arms

A conference on environmental feminism will be held Friday and Saturday, April 5 & 6 at Church of the Open Arms in Oklahoma City. The conference will explore how violence against women is connected with destruction of our
environment and calls for uniting those working in environmental movements and those working in movements for ending violence against women. The goal of this conference is to build networks of
concerned activists, to raise awareness, and to connect new people with opportunities to make a difference.

Keynote speaker is Dr. Jane Caputi of Florida Atlantic University.

This event is sponsored by the Mary Daly Feminist Spirituality Group, The Peace House, the Church of the Open Arms Social Justice Team, Peace Education Institute, and Herland Sister Resources.
