A Veterans Day Musical Tribute Concert

November 10th 2013 - 4:00pm

The Oklahoma City Symphonic Band announces their upcoming “A Veterans Day Musical Tribute ” concert. Performance selections include La Belle Helene by Jacques Offenbach, On A Hymnsong of Lowell Mason by David R. Holsinger, and the concert band classic, La Fiesta Mexicana by H. Owen Reed. The concert will also feature American Pageant by Thomas Knox, marches by Sousa and Fillmore and a special presentation of the Armed Forces Salute. The concert will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Oklahoma City University, Wanda L. Bass School of Music in the Petree Recital Hall, 2501 N Blackwelder, OKC 73106. Admission is free however donations will be accepted. The Oklahoma City Symphonic Band is comprised of approximately one hundred professional and amateur musicians from across the metro area. The band is under direction of Dr. Mark G. Belick, Associate Dean of Music at Oklahoma City University.
