Free "Music on Santa Fe" Concert featuring Kyle Dillingham
Santa Fe Presbyterian Church is proud to present Kyle Dillingham in it’s concert series “Music on Santa Fe”. This free concert, featuring Dillingham, will be on Sunday, October 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 1603 N. Santa Fe Ave., Edmond OK. There is no admission charge for the concert and refreshments will be served immediately following.
You won’t want to miss this world renowned fiddle sensation from Enid, who picked up the violin at the age of 9 years old. At age 17, he performed at the Grand Ole Opry and Kyle has been named Music Ambassador by Governor Brad Henry, helping to develop overseas relationships with other Universities.
He was a featured performer for the King of Malaysia, the Princess of Thailand, Singapore’s National Day Celebration, and he was televised throughout all of China. A frequent visitor to Washington D.C, he has performed for the Japanese, Thai, Romanian, and Saudi Arabian Ambassadors, to name a few. He has also performed with Roy Clarke and Hank Thompson.
Kyle has worked with Vince Gill, Jimmy Webb, Toby Keith, and in 2009 received the Governor’s Arts Award. Kyle is one of Oklahoma Magazine’s 40 under 40, an elite list of selected young Oklahoma’s making a difference in our state. Kyle is also one of OKC Biz Magazine’s top 40 under 40. As a Creativity Ambassador, he performed as a part of the Creativity World Forum in November, 2010. The next day he was a featured performer for Jimmy Webb Day.
Senator Glenn Coffee appointed Kyle as a member of the “Oklahoma School for the Visual and Performing Arts Board of Trustees and Kyle has also been hired as “Ambassador in Residence” for the University of Central Oklahoma to use his “musical diplomacy” to help develop and strengthen new overseas relationships for the university.
