Winter Solstice Walks

December 21st 2012 11:00am - 7:00pm at The Heritage Center

These special guided tours are offered at Oklahoma's only prehistoric Native American archaeological site open to the public. Each tour will be one mile of easy walking and about two hours in duration. Archaeologist Dennis Peterson will tell about the mounds, the people who created them, excavations and why some mounds line up to solstice and equinox sunsets.
