Oklahoma Watch-Out: A Community Forum on K-12 Education
Oklahoma is an underachiever in K-12 education. In the most recent “Nation’s Report Card,” students in about 40 states scored higher than those in Oklahoma on math and reading. What’s the answer? We invite you to join us for a conversation on education with the superintendents of the state’s two largest school districts, which must educate large numbers of low-income, at-risk students. Dave Lopez, interim superintendent of Oklahoma City Public Schools, and Keith Ballard, superintendent of Tulsa Public Schools, will talk about their approaches and answer questions from the audience. RSVP requested, but not required, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
