February 8th 2013 6:30pm - 7:30pm at Norman Public Library

Come learn more about the middle ages just for the fun of learning! No papers, no tests, just interesting information about life long ago.
Stephen Law, Professor of Humanities and Philosophy, College of Liberal Arts, University of Central Oklahoma. Three Viking ships from the eighth and ninth centuries survive because they served as high-status burial chambers for Viking clan-members. Prof. Law, who recently had the chance to see the ships in the Bygdøy ship museum in Oslo, will explore the history of these ships and the humans who were buried with them.
