Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi

November 20th 2012 7:30pm - 9:30pm at 106 Noble Research Center

The Choctaw High School Choirs present: Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi. Accompanied by chamber orchestra and conducted by Dr. Bonnie Borshay Sneed, the choirs will be performing this work on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:30pm in the Performing Arts Center of Choctaw High School. The choir was awarded an Oklahoma State Arts Council grant for the performance, and in connection with that, three additional events on November 20th are scheduled, and all are free and open to the public. The first event is a lecture/ demonstration from Peggy Payne who will be performing on the harpsichord. The second event will be the open dress rehearsal. Audience members are encouraged to come dressed casually, and to observe and participate in a behind-the-scenes rehearsal. The final session at 7:00 pm, before the 7:30pm performance, will be a pre-concert lecture by the conductor. Any teachers, conductors, or musicians who would like to bring his/her students are welcome to contact Dr. Sneed at 405-390-8899.
