"Is He Dead?"
Enid’s Gaslight Theatre kicks off a new season Sept. 6 with “Is He Dead?, a recently-discovered comedy by Mark Twain. When a brilliant young painter who is deeply in debt can’t sell a painting, his friends hatch a scheme to drive up the prices of his paintings by faking the artist’s death. “Is He Dead?” is Twain’s wry commentary on money, greed and the value of art, complete with cross-dressing and mistaken identities. Performances are Sept. 6-7, 12-14 at 8pm and Sept. 8 at 2pm. For more information visit gaslighttheatre.org or call 580-234-2307.
