Oklahoma State University Symphony Orchestra

September 27th 2012 8:00pm - 9:30pm at Seretean Center for the Performing Arts

The Oklahoma State University Symphony Orchestra will perform its opening concert of the season on Thursday, September 27th at 8:00 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts on the OSU Campus. Admission is $8 for General Admission and $6 for Students and Senior Citizens.

The concert will feature Gustav Holstâ??s pinnacle work, The Planets. In addition, OSU assistant professor of saxophone and theory, Dr. Jeffrey Loeffert, will perform Pierre-Philippe Bauzinâ??s Poeme for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra.

The OSU Symphony Orchestra was recently invited to perform at the College Orchestra Directors Association National Conference in Cleveland, Ohio in January 2013. The orchestra is under the direction of OSU associate professor, Douglas Droste.
