Ron Tanner: From Animal House to Our House

June 18th 2012 7:00pm - 8:00pm at Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum

Preservationist and DIY hero Ron Tanner will be performing his one-man show at the Oklahoma Heritage Museum on June 18th at 7:00 pm. Ron's book FROM ANIMAL HOUSE TO OUR HOUSE: A LOVE STORY tells how he and his wife bought a ruined frat house and -- not knowing anything about renovation -- restored the house to its original Victorian glory. Their work was featured in THIS OLD HOUSE magazine in 2008.

The Oklahoma Heritage Assocation is co-hosting the event to raise awareness about preserving the great architectural heritage of Oklahoma.

Ron's presentation (with a slide show) is hilarious and awe-inspiring and is drawing a wide audience from preservationists, DIYers, old house lovers, inspiration-seekers, and romantics. Here's the book's trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx2nt7SRg58
