High Tunnel Construction Workshop
May 15th 2012 9:00am - 5:00pm at Turtle Rock Farm
Steve Upson of the Noble Foundation will lead a workshop on the benefits of high tunnels (hoop houses) for growing fruits and vegetables. As our weather is warming we need new ways to grow the food we eat and sell to others. High Tunnels, which are unheated greenhouses, can be covered with shade cloth during the summer and plastic in the winter providing for year-round gardening.Steve will show us how to put together a high tunnel and talk about the benefits and challenges of high tunnels. This is a FREE workshop which includes lunch.
