Free Workshop: Improving Care for Veterans Facing Illness and Death
How do military service experiences affect someone during a severe illness, and how can they complicate or facilitate end-of-life care and grief? If you are like many who care for or are going to be caring for a veteran then you’ll want to make plans to attend a free workshop centering on Improving Care for Veterans Facing Illness and Death, hosted by Legacy Hospice of the West, Grand Lake Funeral Home and R. Matt Whalen Law Firm on Tuesday, May 21st, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Rivers of Life meeting building at 488 Industrial Road A in Grove, to look at this important issue.
Rev. Dr. Lee Hilliard, Legacy Hospice of the West Chaplain, is scheduled to facilitate the workshop. Dr. Hilliard is an experienced group facilitator with a doctorate in ministry and has completed education for pastoral education certification. A group of area experts, are scheduled to be available to discuss the program during and after the DVD presentation. Sgt. Major Dean Bridges, Pastor of Bar None Cowboy Church, a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, will open our program and serve as a local expert.
Seating is limited, so please contact Dr. Hilliard at (918) 541-9325 or email@example.com as soon as possible to reserve your spot for this informative program. Free lunch is included!
