Learn how Oklahoma women combine business and philanthropy in style by attending the 2013 Women and Philanthropy Symposium. Victoria’s Secret CEO and Ardmore native Sharen Jester Turney is joined by several other Oklahoma business women to share how philanthropy looks good on you and the community.This year’s theme, Giving with Style: Making a Statement Through Philanthropy, highlights the fact charitable giving is always “in style,” with Oklahoma women leading the way through their philanthropic endeavors. Hosted by the University of Oklahoma Women’s Philanthropy Network, this event empowers women at all stages of life to become participants in the giving process.
Other speakers include: Danielle Keogh, owner of Liberté women’s boutique; Melissa Scaramucci, owner of Local; Morgan Harris, owner of Green Bambino, Julia Chew, president of Sooner Stilettos and Beverly Woodrome with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Boren Mentoring Program.
The symposium is from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., April 10, at the University of Oklahoma Memorial Union, Molly Shi Boren Ballroom. Tickets are $25 and include a fashion show and lunch.
