InvestEd Teaching Financial / Investment Literacy

Teacher Professional Development: Teaching Financial/Investment LiteracyThis fall, high school teachers can attend free professional development workshops that will prepare them for teaching financial and investment literacy in their classes. The one day workshops are sponsored by STARS, a program by InvestEd, a partnership of the Oklahoma Securities Commission and the University of Oklahoma Outreach.
Teachers will experience hands-on training and learn how to implement financial and investment content to supplement existing curriculum. Teachers receive and review numerous free resources.
All teachers of all curriculum areas are welcome. REQUIREMENTS: teachers must teach grades 9-12 in Oklahoma secondary schools or Technology Centers, and must plan to teach financial education if not already doing so.
