2013 OMHCI Stillwater Stampede Miniature Horse Show

May 18th 2013 - 8:00am

2013 OMHCI Stillwater Stampede Press Release

The Stillwater Stampede is an American Miniature Horse Association (AMHA) show sponsored by the Oklahoma Miniature Horse Cub Inc. (OMHCI) beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day, Saturday, May 18 & Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Payne Co. Expo Center; Hwy 51 and Fairgrounds Road in Stillwater, OK.

These horses are 34” and under in size; and are wonderful to see.

There are fun events for spectators to watch, such as obstacle classes – driving and in hand, and costume on Saturday morning; with driving classes, mare and gelding halter and showmanship classes intermingled throughout the day; in youth amateur and open divisions.

On Sunday morning there are the miniature horse in-hand jumping, also Liberty, as well as stallion halter and driving classes and concluding with the Supreme Champion class.

We are having a silent auction with proceeds going to benefit the youth fund; all donations and bids are welcome. There will also be a drawing for a miniature horse, to be given away on Sunday. You must be present to win, and make arrangements to take the horse home on Sunday. Tickets for the miniature horse are $5.00 each and proceeds benefitting the youth scholarship fund. These events will take place around noon, during the lunch break on Sunday.

Besides our show photographer, there will be many different vendors - such as clipper blade sharpening, tack, cowboy decor, salsa and candles, jewelry and more. There will be a concession stand that will be open to the public for lunch; and is being hosted by the Payne County Mounted Patrol.

Please join us Saturday and Sunday, May 18 & 19; to see these amazing miniature horses for these scheduled events. We also welcome those with special needs. The event is FREE and family friendly.
