“A Night of Oklahoma Rock Artists” benefiting The Wounded Warrior Project

June 1st 2013 - 7:00pm
Price: 10.00

LOCAL BANDS ROCK OKLAHOMA CITY TO SUPPORT WOUNDED WARRIORS

Crew Dawg Records™ presents - “A Night of Oklahoma Rock Artists” benefiting The Wounded Warrior Project June 1st, 2013 at the Voodoo Lounge OKC, located at 530 S. Broadway Ave. (near Bricktown).

Oklahoma City, OK (June 15th) – Crew Dawg Records™ and the Voodoo Lounge OKC announced today plans for the benefit show, “A Night of Oklahoma Rock Artists”, featuring: One Gun Solution, Another Round and Atrus. Proceeds from the show will be donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP), and will support a full range of programs and services for this generation of veterans injured in the line of duty and their families.

Over 47,000 servicemen and women have been injured in the recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Another 320,000 are believed to have experienced a traumatic brain injury while on deployment.

Crew Dawg Records™ (CDR), launched on April 6th 2013, was born from a desire to provide musicians the footing in the Oklahoma music community who are passionate, have the drive, desire and spirit to make it in the American and Global music industry. CDR is an innovative independent record label developed by Lee Maples, a United States Air Force retired Technical Sergeant, of 16 years of service, as well as a Disabled American Veteran, and a Wounded Warrior Project Alumnus.

“I really think it’s important to use this opportunity to give to others and bring awareness to The Wounded Warrior Project. I served in the Air Force and was fortunate to come back home. There are a lot of others who aren’t as lucky as me. And I think it’s important to give back and honor those heroes”, said Maples.

“A Night Of Oklahoma Rock Artists”: will be streamed LIVE via Youtube on CDR’s and each Artist’s Facebook page. This Show is a 21 and over event and will be held on June 1st, 2013. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. DVD’s will be available for purchase via Crew Dawg Records; 100% of all sales benefit WWP. $20 VIP packages will be available at the door on a first-come-first-serve basis; which gets individuals up close and personal with each band, photos and swag. $10 General Admission tickets will also be sold at the door (Cash Only).

If you are unable to make it to the show and would like to donate online, please visit https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/individual-fundraising/CrewDawgRecords/
