On Tap: What happens if Oklahoma Cities Run Out of Water?

February 20th 2013 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Picasso Cafe

What happens if we run out of water? It’s a real question many Oklahomans have started asking for the first time. Many say the water crisis caused by the drought is more severe in some parts of Oklahoma including Oklahoma City than anyone realizes or has been willing to admit. Some water conservationists say conservation has to go beyond odd and even watering days immediately or we may face a really severe crisis in the very near future. What can be done? Is it too late? How can you do more to conserve? What needs to be done to raise awareness? Why have we waited until now to discuss this? These are all questions we’ll be discussing at the next On Tap, Wednesday, February 20 at 6 p.m. at Picasso Café at 3009 Paseo St Oklahoma City, OK 73103. Joe Wertz and Logan Layden of StateImpact Oklahoma have been reporting on these issues for months. They’ll lead the discussion and bring their insight. Bring your friends and out of the box solutions for this issue facing Oklahoma.
