We Need Your Thoughts on Rural v. Urban Oklahoma
Some of the biggest arguments we’ve seen in the Oklahoma legislature in the last few years haven’t been about politics. They’ve been about geography. The divide between rural and urban Oklahoma is deeper than ever. We want to explore those differences and figure out how we can open a new dialogue about the interests that benefit us all.
Oklahoma has a deep agricultural industry, and much of our state’s oil and natural gas production happens in rural areas, which makes those areas vital to our economy. Yet, much of the state’s population lives in the state’s two largest metropolitan areas. What kind of relationship does this create?
