High Schoolers Recognize Those Who Served

On this Veterans’ Day, the young men and women of southeast High School in Oklahoma City are holding their annual tribute to veterans, prisoners of war and those missing in action.

KOSU’s Michael Cross got a chance to sit down with Master Sergeant Michael Joseph about this event the Oklahoman has called both solemn and exciting

This year, added to the event will be a re-enactment of the Iwo Jima flag raising.

Southeast High students are performing during halftime of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Military Appreciation Night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in January.
