    Instead of always looking to the government to finance our projects – worthy and not so reasonable – local matching dollars would be a sign of good faith that communities and the state could work together in a united effort to protect our children. Communities could be required to provide a percentage of match based on the area's economic status, so the poorer regions would not be penalized, and could take ownership in the cost as well as wealthier regions of the state.
