Two people are dead and two others are in critical condition after a shooting Monday morning at a middle school in Nevada.
Police said the four were shot when the shooter entered Sparks Middle School, northeast of Reno, sometime after 7:00 a.m. local time.
The two wounded were described as boys, but it wasn’t immediately clear whether they, or the two dead, were students at the school. It also wasn’t clear if there were other casualties.
On its website, The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that two people, including the shooter, are dead. The Associated Press also reported two dead and two others wounded.
The AP reports that police in Washoe County School District said the school was “all clear” and that the suspect is “down,” but offered no further details.
The news agency quotes Angela Rambo, a spokeswoman of Renown Regional Medical Center, as saying two boys are in critical condition.
