On Tap: Why Do I Care About Worker’s Comp Anyway?

Filed by Rachel Hubbard in Feature.
April 23, 2013

It’s the perennial legislative issue.  Seemingly every year, lawmakers reform the worker’s compensation system, but it somehow always needs more reform.  Unless you’re a business owner or a person who has been injured on the job, it’s hard to figure out how the system works and why it matters so much to our economy.

This year, the promise is that this will be the final reform, a complete overhaul of the system. Does the system need a complete overhaul and if so, why? And if you’re not a business owner or an injured worker, why should you care at all?  We’ll discuss it at On Tap, Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. at Picasso Cafe at 3009 Paseo St, Oklahoma City, OK 73103.  We hope you can join us.
