In Washington, D.C., today, the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs is holding a status check on the Department of Veterans Affairs’ claims processing system.
The committee, led by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, focused primarily on benefits claims — and the time it takes for the VA to process them (see our ongoing coverage) — as the department navigates what Gen. Allison Hickey, undersecretary for benefits, calls its “year of transformation and change.”
