Please see a staff person at your local Vet Center. www.vetcenter.va.gov They can help direct you regarding service officers who can help you file for service connected migraines. It is not impossible, especially as it is likely that your military medical records have some documentation of your injury.

PTSD is a syndrome whose care is not easy and whose consequences are for life.May be there are periods o regression but problems is ever present. One secret is accept it and live with. excelente articulo, siempre escucho sobre guerras pero nunca sobre las consecuencias que sufren los valientes, heroes soldados al regreso, referente a las lesiones traumaticas sobre las lesión cerebral y como puede afectar el funcionamiento cognitivo, para el rendimiento académico.

I served as a hospital corpsman in Viet Nam (1966-67) and have had chronic migraines since July 5 of 1967, as a result of concussion and shrapnel injuries from a Chinese mortar round that landed about 4 feet from me. Back then we didn't have the TBI diagnosis and don't get a disability rating because of it.

My solidarity to you, buddies, is total. I understand, having helth problems, situation you are living. This invisible enemy is to win and togheter we will win it. PTSD is very relevant and its complexity done more problems with effects and spects not ever easy to affront. But, be sure, we will combat it. You are not alone, this the sure reality, you have our partecipation. you will traverse moment on wich all seem insurmontable and other where all seem more easy: are not these the connotation of a war? My TBI is service connective but non-concussive but they are cumulative (4) and I find it harder and harder to concentrate, track textbooks especially when they are on-line and you can't go back pages easily.
