The Family and Medical Leave Act turns 20 this week, so we’ve been asking people to share their experiences with the law.
Among those we heard from was a physician who said he felt as though he’d been dropped in the middle of an antagonistic relationship between employers and their employees.
“As a physician, I am happy to share the medical data that is available to me with both the employee and the employer, but I would prefer for them to negotiate the details of the employees leave from their duties,” he told us.
Now we’re curious to hear what other medical professionals think.
