Launch of job website lags

In 2012 Gov. Mary Fallin proposed okjobmatch.com at her State of the State.
It’s supposed to connect employers and employees, but job seekers have been waiting more than a year for the official launch.
Donald Hackler from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce says, right now there is a preliminary version of the site up for people to use.
“We’ve been fine tuning the site and we should have a formal launch of the site with a lot of media advertising very, very soon.”
Hackler says it has been a process to make sure its working correctly.
“Our plans for the future are to keep improving it, keep developing it, and to make it much more accessible for all job seekers.”
In the past year, 55,242 job seekers signed up for the database.
April 5th is the official launch date of the site, 14 months after it was proposed. Governor Fallin’s office didn’t respond to multiple requests for comment.

I work at a public library, and we have been promoting okjobmatch.com to our patrons. I even signed up for an account myself to see how well it works. While it mainly helps those with training, certification, or higher education find a more specialized job, it does an amazing job of helping users create a professional resume.
