Reaching out to Wichita, to bring workers to Moore

Portrayed as a beautiful metropolitan area with an IMAX screen and The Warren Theaters, two homebuilder associations are trying to convince Boeing Employees to move to Moore. Southwest Homebuilders and Moore Home Builders Associations are behind the commericals.

Deidre Ebrey, with the city of Moore, and says they realize relocation is not what most Wichita families may want.

“The city of Moore is just simply here as a place for people to come visit and if they so choose, a place for them to live.”

And Ebrey says she hopes Wichita residents don’t see the commercials attempts to steal residents.

“No, I don’t think that anything negative should come from this. If people truly understand the intent behind the ad, the purpose and entity behind the ad, then I think it’s completely clear.”

Boeing is expected to transfer hundreds of jobs to Oklahoma City in late 2013. The home builders associations could not be reached for an interview.
