PTSD goes way deeper then people realize, I as a wife of a PTSD vietnam veteran have personaly experienced this. The Vietnam veteran were made to feel ashamed as they were called baby killers and was spit on. I quickly learned as a wife to a vietnam veteran that PTSD is real. He would not talk much about his experiences in Vietnam and if it was brought up he would get upst. He as a man was taught to suck it up that is what men do. He would go through uncontrollable rages, pulling guns, yelling and always wanted to control the situation around us. After the rages he had so much remorse and would get tearful. He didn't even realize what was happening. The depression he had was a vicious cycle sometime getting suicidal. The family lives in the war zone also causing the family to have PTSD also. The system is not working to help our soldiers and their families. I know personaly because I have lived it and still with my man but now understand the PTSD and it helps me to deal with it. I could write a book on this subject but will cut it short. Remember don't judge unless you have walked in other people shoes!
