He never looked back: Bob Mac Murdo explains his vote on marriage amendment

A year ago, Bob Mac Murdo of Minneapolis was in a quandary over how he might vote in 2012 on a proposed amendment to his state’s constitution. On Nov. 6 in Minnesota, voters were asked if the constitution should be amended to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Mac Murdo felt pulled between his religious, small-town upbringing and his wife’s more progressive views on homosexuality, influenced in part by her many gay friends. In the video on the right, Bob describes his quandary.

When I checked back in with him this week, Bob told me he settled on his vote months ago and never looked back.
