We hit a record 1,355 member contributions in our 2012 Fall Pledge Drive! Thanks to all who contributed, and if you haven’t, you can always do your part by clicking here.
Your member dollars go to award winning investigations, like Ben Allen’s report on the Otoe-Missouria Tribe’s plan to harvest castor beans, and Michael Cross’s valuable reporting from the State Capitol, and his unique look at the history of Stage Center, and Quinton Chandler’s recent look at the tight housing market near Woodward because of the energy boom.
We partner with This Land Press to bring you their audio stories every Friday morning, and work with our public media partners on State Impact Oklahoma, taking us to places like Sayre, where a private jail company is closing up shop and leaving hundreds unemployed.
But how do we pay for all of this?
That’s where you come in. Member contributions make up more than 50% of our budget at KOSU (the rest comes from foundations, underwriting, and Oklahoma State University, among others). You fund our regional reporting, on top of programs like Morning Edition, Fresh Air, This American Life, and so much more.
