New Big 12 TV deal means more money for schools

The Big 12 has a new TV deal, and it comes with a hefty haul for each school…
20 million a year each for Oklahoma State, the University of Oklahoma, and the eight other schools in the Big 12. The 13 year contract with FOX and ABC also includes a grant of rights. That means if a school leaves the conference, the Big 12 still keeps their broadcast rights. Conference Commissioner Bob Bowlsby…
“Many were concerned that we were going to come off the rails again at some point in time, and I think this demonstrates that that’s not going to happen and that we’re going to be partners for a long, long time.”
The deal, reportedly worth $2.6 billion, goes into effect immediately.
