So...again we're waiting on politics. We have to wait to insure Oklahomans until after the general election occurs? Seems both state and federal legislators don't "do" anything until they are reelected. Then they don't "do" anything because there's another election to worry about in 2 or 4 or 6 years. Tell me again why it is we bother to reelect them??? When taxpayers complain about big government and want to cut back on government programs and the jobs created by them, why not start by "unemploying" the employees we elect?? THOSE are the government employees with the generous insurance coverage, huge pensions, expense accounts and do-nothing jobs (that WE pay for). And in the meantime, because they refuse to do their jobs, millions are without affordable health care.

Most Oklahoma insurance brokers know nothing about how Insure Oklahoma works and fail to advise small businesses that they may be eligible. The state insurance commissioner should require all brokers and agents to be familiar with both Insure Oklahoma AND also with Health SAvings Plans... another area where most agents are woefully ignorant. Both of these could save employers huge amounts of money while extending coverage to more Oklahomans.
