Chick-Fil-A’s religious values are back in the national spotlight, but this time the other side could have its say. Tonight, gay rights advocacy groups are planning a kiss in protest for Chick-Fil-A stores across the country. Wednesday, hundreds of thousands of customers turned out to support the fast food chain’s stance on homosexuality.
Laura Belmonte with The Equality Network says the tone of this protest will be a little different from Wednesday.
“It’s trying to put forward a message of love and tolerance in the wake of something that’s been perceived by a lot of LGTB Americans and their allies as something that’s been very hurtful.”
Chick-Fil-A store owner Amanda Al-mee said she would treat any protesters with dignity and respect.
