Stocks Drop On Weak Jobs News

Stock prices are falling on Wall Street today as investors digest the much-weaker-than-expected report on job growth in May.

Just after the start of trading in New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was down about 150 points — 1.2 percent. Other indices were also lower.

We’ll keep an eye on how things are going and update with news as the day continues.

Update at 11 a.m. ET: The Dow’s down about 220 points (1.8 percent).

Update at 10:30 a.m. ET: Over the past 30 minutes the Dow stayed down at least 150 points. Now, it’s off by just over 200 (or, about 1.7 percent).
