With just two weeks left until Oklahoma votes on Super Tuesday, the Republican candidates for president are making stops in the Sooner State.
Reaching out to Republicans in the state legislature, former US Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich promised to reduce dependence on foreign oil by increasing off-shore and on-shore drilling and opening the Keystone X-L Pipeline.
He says doing this will drop gas to $2.00 a gallon which every American deserves.
“Inexpensive energy’s what made us the greatest economy in the world. Inexpensive energy gives us the widest range of freedom. And, I’ll just close with this simple thought: what liberals don’t get is that you cannot put a gun rack in a Volt.”
Gingrich also called on Oklahoma lawmakers to support a tenth amendment project to reduce the impact of the federal government.
Republican candidate Rick Santorum spoke in the Sooner State two weeks ago and Texas Congressman Ron Paul is coming this Saturday.
