A man who could easily be called the most famous historian to come out of Oklahoma is getting his portrait hung in the State Capitol on Wednesday.

The image of Doctor John Hope Franklin is going up on the second floor rotunda thanks to the work of Oklahoma City University President Robert Henry.

KOSU Capitol Bureau Chief Michael Cross got a chance to talk to President Henry about Doctor Franklin and the painting to be unveiled.

The unveiling ceremony on Wednesday will include comments from the artists as well as music from Oklahoma City University gospel choir Generation Blessed.
