Oklahoma Republicans got a chance to cheer on Herman Cain Monday night despite his announcement over the weekend he was suspending his campaign for President.
About 300 people pack into the Marriot ballroom as GOP Chairman Matt Pinnell introduces the man of the hour.
Despite suspending his campaign over the weekend, he says he’s not going away and will continue to be a voice for the Republican Party.
He told supporters he decided to step aside because he needed to put family first.
“I know that many of you are disappointed. I and my wife are broken hearted, but I am not broken.”
Cain continued to tout his 9-9-9 plan and is releasing an energy policy in the next few weeks.
Cindy Daniel counts herself among those who wishes he would have stayed in the race.
“I’m disappointed in all the distractions. I think that without that he could have been the Republican candidate. And, I’m real disappointed about that.”
Cain told supporters he plans to change Washington from the outside now.
He stopped short of endorsing any candidate.

Sad to think that there are 300 people in OK willing to throw away a minimum of $250.00 each to listen to a quitter with questionable morals. Dummies.
More sad realizing that there are well over 300 Obama supporters in OK willing to throw away each month a minimum of $250 on booze, cigarettes and fast food while watching TV 8 hrs a day complaining about how the rich are screwing them. Dummies.
