Last minute filings to fill House District 71 being vacated by Dan Sullivan create a crowded field for a special election.

On Monday only a Republican, Evelyn Rogers, and Democrat, Dan Arthrell, had filed for the Tulsa House seat.

On Tuesday, Republican Lydia D’Ross joined in the race.

But, Wednesday the field exploded with five Republicans and one more Democrat.

The Democratic primary will now include Bob Walpole.

On the Republican side there’s Katie Henke, Gerald Lovoi (LOW-voy) Bonnie Huffines, Janet Sullivan and Jacqueline Moss.

The winner-takes-all primary election will be held on February 14th.

A general election will take place on April 3rd.
