The loss of Oklahoma State University women’s basketball head coach Kurt Budke and assistant coach Miranda Serna has many looking for answers. Why, just ten years after a plane crash took the lives of 10 associated with OSU men’s basketball, has this happened again? A number of events are planned to remember those lost in the latest tragedy to hit Oklahoma State.
The University community and the public is invited to remember those lost in the plane crash Thursday afternoon at a memorial service at 1 PM Monday at Gallagher-Iba Arena on the OSU campus.
A candlelight vigil is scheduled for 8 PM Monday night, at the Chi-O Clock between the Student Union and the Classroom Building.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced for Coach Budke or Coach Serna.
Information will be shared as it becomes available. Updates are also available on our Facebook page: KOSU Radio, or on Twitter: @BenAllenKOSU, @KOSUMichaelC, and @KOSURadio.
