Sayre Prison Riot Under Control

Officials at a private prison in western Oklahoma say they have ended a disturbance among the inmates without any fatalities and only five injuries.
Officials with Corrections Corporations of America say the fighting has ceased at North Fork Correctional facility in Sayre.
Fights broke out between multiple inmates on Tuesday just before noon.
Officials say at no time was the public in any danger as the violence was contained within the prison.
There were also no escapees and no hostage situations.
Sayre police, Oklahoma State Police and the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office were on hand outside the 2,500 bed facility in case of emergency.
Inmates are currently being confined to their cells.
North Fork is undergoing a complete lockdown and workers are securing the safety of everyone in the prison.
