The organizers of Oklahoma Creativity Forum 2011 are hoping to stoke the fires of imagination and innovation in education, commerce and culture.

The day-long conference tomorrow in Norman is bringing together attendees from all walks of life and is designed to spark the engines of ingenuity among both individuals and institutions.

Susan McCalmont is President of Creative Oklahoma.

McCalmont says Oklahoma’s creative initiative is continuing to transform perceptions outside of our state as an incubator for ideas while spurring action within our borders.

“There is certainly need here,“ McCalmont said. “I think there is more attraction occurring here in Oklahoma. I think a lot of our corporations are shifting their focus internally towards development of creativity and creative processes and idea generation within their own corporate structures for their own survival and growth.”

Keynote speakers for Oklahoma Creativity Forum 2011 include John Mackey, co-founder and co-CEO of Whole Foods Market, a 10-billion dollar Fortune 300 company that opened an Oklahoma City location just last month.
